I'll dominate 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Former twice world title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead targeted ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

However, the novice remains one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary confrontation, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
